The research work of Ms. Priya Shah, PhD student working under the guidance of Dr Nasreen Munshi, Institute of Science, Nirma University appeared as a research story in the newspaper ‘Gujarat Samachar’ on 5th December, 2024. The article highlights the role of bacteria in degrading petroleum waste to produce biopolymer suitable for manufacture of bio-plastic. This work was also a part of DBT funded networking project of total Rs. 8.4 crores involving nine institutes of national repute including IITs and CSIR labs.
