Dr Nasreen Munshi, Assistant Professor at Institute of Science, Nirma University was invited as the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker during the launch of the third issue of ‘Microbyte – Discover the Invisibles’, a Magazine published by the Society of M.G. Science Institute (MSMG), Navrangpura, Ahmedabad.
Dr Munshi delivered an expert talk titled “The Role of Microbes in Environmental Bioremediation: Current Applications and Research Updates” and gave an overview of her research in the field of environmental microbiology. An alumna of the Dept. of Microbiology at MG Science Institute, Dr Munshi shared the knowledge generated from her research activities. The event saw an active participation by graduate and postgraduate students of Microbiology Department besides the faculty members. The students enthusiastically interacted to understand the role and application of microbes in the field of bioremediation of contaminated environments.
