Celebrating 22 Years of Excellence!
The Institute of Science, Nirma University celebrated its 23rd Foundation Day on 7 September 2026 at Block C Auditorium, marking 22 years of academic excellence, research, innovation and scientific advancement. The celebration was graced by Dr. A. N. Bhadalkar, Director, Savli Technology & Business Incubator (STBI), Vadodara, as the Chief Guest, along with Prof. R. N. Patel, Director General (I/c), Nirma University, Prof. Dr. Gopal Natesan, Director (I/c), Institute of Science & Director, Institute of Pharmacy, and Dr. Sriram Seshadri, Academic Coordinator, Institute of Science. During the celebration, the Institute’s achievements during AY 2025–26 were highlighted, including accomplishments in research funding, scholarly publications, invited lectures, national and international academic engagements, student fellowships and research travel awards.
The occasion also provided an opportunity to recognize and celebrate excellence. Students were felicitated for outstanding achievements in research, academics, sports and cultural activities, while faculty and staff members were honoured for their dedicated and long-standing service to the Institute.
As the Institute looks ahead towards its Silver Jubilee, the celebration reaffirmed its commitment to advancing scientific excellence, interdisciplinary research, innovation, entrepreneurship and societal impact. A key message of the celebration was the importance of nurturing curiosity, critical inquiry and the courage to seek answers—values that form the foundation of meaningful scientific research. The inspiring addresses emphasized curiosity, research excellence, innovation, entrepreneurship and translating scientific research into meaningful societal impact.
