They have brought many laurels for the Institute at state, national, and international levels.

  • DST-DPRP Grant
Institute of Science along with Institute Pharmacy received financial support of Rs 5.00 crores from DST, New Delhi under Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Research Programme (DPRP) Scheme to develop “National Facility for Analytical Characterization and Biological Evaluation of Biosimilars”.  This is one of the unique facilities in the country and the Nirma University is the first private university to have such a facility. It would provide training, consultancy as well as technical support and services to budding scientists and researchers from academics as well as from research institutes and small/medium scale industries on high end instruments for analytical and biological characterization of novel bio-therapeutics and biosimilars as well as to get updated pharmaceutical regulatory requirements for biosimilars.


  • DST-FIST Grant

The Institute received DST-FIST grant of Rs 92 lakhs for infrastructure development in the year 2018.


  • DSIR Recognition

The Institute of Science has got recognition as SIRO (Scientific and Industrial Research Organization) by DSIR (Department of Scientific and Industrial Research), Govt. of India in the year 2014. This achievement has boosted the research activities not only at ISNU but other constituent Institutes of Nirma University as well by attracting extramural funding from various government agencies.


  • Major Research Projects received since 2016

During the last three years, the faculty members of Institute have received total nine research projects funded by DST, DBT, AYUSH, GSBTM and Nirma University worth 2.5 crores.
