The objective of the Master’s programme in Biotechnology is to enrich the students with knowledge of molecular mechanisms underlying cellular processes in living systems, including microbes, plants, and higher order organisms. The curriculum is structured in such a way that includes laboratory training in addition to theory to prepare students for their career in industry, agriculture and applied research.
Basic and current updates from the fields of genetic engineering, molecular biology, immunology, industrial microbiology, fermentation technology, neuroscience and animal biotechnology are included in order to train the students and develop a research aptitude in these fields. The curriculum also addresses the growing demand for qualified scientific personnel while creating an awareness for research ethics involving animals and humans in order to contribute to biotechnological application, advancement and expanding the knowledge of the field globally.
