About
Dr. Amee Nair is a trained neurobiologist with more than 15 years of research experience in the field of cell signaling and neurobehavioral function. She earned her PhD degree from Centre for Neuroscience, Dept. of Biotechnology, CUSAT, Cochin. At Post Graduate Level, she is teaching Neuro-biochemistry, Neuroendocrine regulation of behavior, Human Physiology, Animal Biotechnology and Research Methods. So far she has mentored 110 MSc dissertation thesis and is currently guide to 04 PhD students and 02 have graduated. Her area of research includes Neurobiology of CNS demyelination, Insulin exocytosis mechanism, Diabetes, Wound healing, Sleep and Epilepsy using in-silico, in-vitro, in-vivo and demographic models. She has received research projects as PI from Department of Science and Technology (DST, Govt. of India) and from GUJCOST (Govt. of Gujarat). Dr Nair is currently the Coordinator for Institute Level Academic Audit and Semester-I, Faculty in-charge for DST-FIST Implementation at Institute of Science and Member of Univeristy Reforms Committee. She is also involved in other administrative activities as Faculty-In-charge BT Lab; Faculty-In-charge Store; Member-Board of Studies of Institute of Science; IQACI; Strategic Planning Committee; MSc & PhD Admissions.
