Overview

Instruction, innovation and involvement with the community are the three vital activities of any university. Nirma University is highly engaged in extension activities through its students with a view to build the neighbouring communities and to foster psycho-social development of students.

It is to embed social responsibility while they are still students. It helps them learn the ethical theory in which they are accountable for fulfilling their civic duty which must benefit the whole society.

Thus, social extension activities have been incorporated as a part of curriculum of MSc programmes where students  spend 30 hours for it. The activities include participation in blood donation camps, visit to old-age homes, Blind People Association, and special children home, workshops for disadvantaged section of the society, teaching the underprivileged, etc.
