Annual Cultural Program at Institute of Science:
The Institute of Science, Nirma University held its annual cultural festival, Renaissance 2026 on New year 1st & 2nd January 2026, with great enthusiasm. The festival began with an inaugural ceremony by our director in-charge Dr Sriram Seshadri’s welcome address. Our chief guest was renowned singer of Ahmedabad city Mrs Shruti Modi. There were various events including singing, arts, literary and dancing. Mrs Shruti Modi and Dr Ankur Dwivedi (Institute of Technology, NU) were judges in this event. In Art events like collage making, face painting, and Sci-toon were judged by Prof Shree Kant (Institute of Design NU) and Prof Parag Mistry (Institute of Architecture & Planning NU). The fun was enhanced by a vibrant carnival featuring different art forms made by our students, games, food vendors, and live music by our own students. On 2nd January, literary events like poetry, debate, and quiz were judged by Dr Nitin Pillai (Institute of Management, NU) and Dr Shivangee Banerjee (ITNU). The final day featured dance competitions which had solo, duet categories and judged by famous Odissi dancer of Ahmedabad Ms Shudha Pudipeddi and Dr Vibha Gajjar (IAPNU). All the winners and participants received the medals and certificates. This entire event was coordinated by Dr Shruti Chatterjee. The festival, managed by the INSSA team and enthusiastic involvement of students made the Renaissance 2026 a grand success and left everyone with cherished memories.
