Dr Shruti Chatterjee, faculty at Institute of Science delivered an invited talk titled ‘Blue Biotechnology: Making future drug formulations for human disease’ as a part of the SWAYAM course on “Blue Economy Entrepreneurship” on 18th June, 2024 at National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR) Chennai. This course aims to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the blue economy, focusing on sustainable practices and technological innovations that drive this emerging field. This lecture series included key modules, “Marine Conservation and Sustainable Practices” and “Innovation and Technology in Blue Economy Entrepreneurship” to emphasize various strategies for conserving marine ecological components and explore recent technological interventions in the ambit of the blue economy.
