National Science Day Celebration 2022

On February 28th 2022, the Institute of Science, Nirma University (ISNU), celebrated the National Science Day 2022. This year the theme was ‘Integration of Science and Technology for the Sustainable Future”. Dr. Heena Dave, Coordinator of the programme welcomed all and briefed about the programme. The program started in virtual mode with the devotional prayer by Ms. Shristi Biswas, a PhD student. Prof. Sarat Dalai, Director, ISNU welcomed the audience and briefly highlighted the recent achievements of the Institute. Invited speaker Dr. Urszula Krzych, Chief, Cellular Immunology Lab at the US Military Malaria Vaccine Development Program, Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, Silver Spring, MD USA delivered an expert lecture on “T cell-based Vaccines, Examples from Malaria”. The webinar was attended by more than 100 participants. All the students, research scholars, and faculty members enjoyed the talk and interacted with Dr. Urszula during Q&A session. Dr. Aarthi Sundararajan, programme coordinator proposed a vote of thanks at the end of the first session following the expert talk.
As a part of National Science Day celebration, there were four competition events namely, Essay writing, Sci-biography, Sci-toon, and Sci-model which were organized. Total thirty students participated in these events.
