Prof Shalini Rajkumar, along with her former PhD scholars Dr Maharshi Pandya (who is currently Senior Scientific Officer at Snake Research Institute, Valsad, Gujarat) and Dr Bhavesh Kevadiya (Currently Director at Ultragenyx, San Francisco, USA) from Institute of Science, Nirma University has been successful in receiving a patent on 11th April, 2025 for an improved formulation of 6-benzylaminopurine montmorillonite alginate (6-bap-mmt-al) micro composites for sustained release developed indigenously in her lab.
