Annual Cultural Program of Institute of Science Report:
Institute of Science conducted its Annual Cultural festival ‘Renaissance 2023-24’ during January 23- 25, 2024. On January 23, 2024, the Director of Institute, Prof Sarat K Dalai inaugurated the event with a lamp lighting ceremony. Renaissance began with literary events – Poetry, Extempore and Science fiction story writing which was judged by Dr BS Bini, Institute of Law and Dr Charmy Kothari, Institute of Pharmacy, both from Nirma University. On January 24th, the fine art events conducted included Petri Plate art, Sci-toon and Face painting. Fine arts events were judged by Dr. Foram Bhavsar, Institute of Architecture & Planning, Nirma University and Dr Pradipta Biswas, Institute of Design, Nirma University.
On 25th January, 2024, the dancing and singing events were held; each had solo, duet and group categories. The judges for dancing events were Ms Sudha Rani, a renowned Odissi dancer and Prof Vibha Gajjar from Institute of Architecture & Planning of Nirma University. The judges of the singing event were Ms Dhairya Mankad, a professional singer and Prof Ankur Dwivedi, Institute of Technology, Nirma University. In the valedictory function, the dais was graced by Ms Dhairya Mankad, Prof Ankur Dwivedi, Dr Bhavesh Parekh- Chief Coordinator, Student Welfare Activities of Nirma University, Prof Sarat K Dalai and Dr Shruti Chatterjee. The entire event was coordinated by Dr Shruti Chatterjee. Active participation from the students made the event memorable.
