Nidhi Thakkar’s work on Withania somnifera’s beneficial effects on healthspan and lifespan of the model worm Caenorhabditis elegans, which she did at Institute of Science, Nirma University, under the guidance of Dr Vijay Kothari, was featured in Gujarat Samachar (Dec 8, 2024). Dr Kothari was awarded “Prof Peter Houghton Memorial Award” for presentation of this work during the International Convention of Society for Ethnopharmacology at Gangtok, Sikkim in November 2024.
