The Institute of Science organized a two-day workshop on March 23–24, 2026, for MSc students and PhD scholars. The workshop spanned 10 hours of intensive training sessions conducted by the expert, Dr Gopal Jee Gopal from Uka Tarsadia University, Bardoli. This workshop provided strategic mentoring to prepare for the various National-level Life Science examinations, including CSIR-UGC NET, GATE etc, known for coaching students for competitive exams. On March 23, sessions on “Chemistry and Mathematics for Biologists” were conducted, while the second day saw sessions on “Strategies for Gene Cloning and Expression.” Both day’s sessions included problem-solving discussions based on questions from previous examination papers, providing participants with practical insights into exam patterns and approaches. The event was highly interactive and was attended by MSc and PhD students very enthusiastically. The event was coordinated by Dr Nasreen Munshi from Institute of Science.
