The Institute has an animal cell culture facility. This facility is provided with all the basic and advanced equipment required for the culturing the mamalian cells and their maintenance along with high-tech microscopic observation. The facility enables students to work with primary and secondary cell lines. For long-term preservation of cells, it also has liquid nitrogen storage containers. The facility is largely being used by the researchers from the Institutes of Science and Pharmacy. The expertise of in-house faculty members and regular interactive sessions with national and international experts through workshops, conferences make the most of it for the young-minds of the Institute and other organisations in advancing their research.
