Nirma University started the Doctoral programme in 2003. The University is well-known for the quality and diversity of its research. Ample opportunities are provided to the students to sharpen their research skills, to actively participate in international and national conferences/events, to publish research work in highly commended research journals and to patent the pioneering research. The PhD programmes administered by the university’s constituent institutions are co-ordinated by the faculty of Doctoral Studies and Rsearch.
With the mission to uphold merit in the field of Science, the Institute of Science offers full time and external Doctoral programmes in Science with an emphasis to unravel the problems related to health, agriculture and environment and to train highly skilled manpower for research and teaching. The programme is offered in the fields of Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Microbiology.
A large number of sponsored research projects at Institute of Science are funded by state and central government agencies, such as the GSBTM, GUJCOST, ISRO, DST, DBT, ICMR, AYUSH, etc.
